Titan boys pick up two wins, improve to 4-2

South Central Calhoun went 2-1 last week in varsity boys basketball action. The Titans opened up the week at Class 3A Webster City and fell to the Lynx by a 67-44 final Tuesday, Dec. 9. SCC returned home to Lake City Friday, Dec. 12, and defeated Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire 62-57 and then defeated Southeast Valley 71-63 Saturday, Dec. 13, at Rockwell City. The Titans improved to 4-2 overall.

Against Webster City, the Titans trailed 21-13 after the first period and were down 32-24 at the half. The Lynx outscored the Titans 25-9 in the third period.

Leading the way at Webster City for SCC was Zach Ludwig with 13 points while Ryan Daisy finished with 12 points and seven rebounds. Cyle King hit a pair of three-pointers for six points and teammate Derrick Henkenius also scored six points against Webster City.
