Seven events for the South Central Calhoun varsity boys track team have qualified for the 2015 Class 2A boys state track meet in Des Moines May 21 through May 23 at Drake Stadium.
SCC’s Kody Case in the 100 meter dash, Zach Ludwig in the 200 meter dash, Tanner Schrad in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters and the SCC 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relays have all qualified for the state meet at the state qualifying meet held in Holstein Thursday, May 14.
“What a night!” said SCC boys head track coach Bryan Case following the team’s performance at the state qualifying meet. “The kids ran well and every event, we thought could get in, made it. Our kids are focused and ready for the state meet. If all goes well, we could place in a few events at state. Only time will tell, but we’re ready.”
