It was a strong start to the season for the South Central Calhoun Titans varsity boys track team as they took home seven first place medals and grabbed second-place medals in six events as well at the third annual Chelsey Henkenius SCC Early Bird Co-ed meet in Lake City Monday, March 27.
“The start of the 2017 outdoor season was a success,” said SCC head boys track coach Bryan Case. “The weather cooperated and gave everyone a chance to compete. Even though this was a non-scoring meet, I was pleased with our boys’ overall effort. At this time of year, it’s nice to be able to move kids around and get times in various events.”
Kody Case earned three individual first place efforts for SCC and teammate Spencer Moon grabbed two individual golds as well. SCC also took home first place in the shuttle hurdle relay and the 4x400 meter relay.
