Tickets Punched! SCC sends two grapplers to State at Class 1A-District 6 Tournament

In spite of a tough outing, one that could have went either way for several of its grapplers, the South Central Calhoun wrestling team will see two of its members move on to the IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament.
It turned out that those two wrestlers are brothers.
At the Class 1A-District 6 Wrestling Tournament, held this past Saturday at the Sibley- Ocheyedan High School Gymnasium in Sibley, freshman wrestler Blake McAlister and senior grappler Chase McAlister will move on to the big show by earning runner-up spots at 145 lbs. and 160 lbs. respectively.
