SCC wrestlers go 3-3 in recent dual meets

South Central Calhoun went 2-4 overall last week in dual competition over the course of two events. The Titans were 2-1 at Lake View Tuesday, Dec. 5 as SCC defeated Ridge View 51-18 and topped East Sac County 40-33 but fell to Humboldt 60-24. SCC then hosted a conference quadrangular dual meet Thursday, Dec. 7 in Rockwell City and the Titans went 0-3 at home. SCC fell to GT/RA in the opener by a 66-15 score while falling to Pocahontas Area in the second dual of the night by a narrow 42-39 final. In the nightcap Dec. 7, Southeast Valley topped the Titans 54-24.
In the outing at Lake View, wrestlers for SCC who went 3-0 on the night included Ayden Toms, Jordan Khommanyvong and Brody Goodman.
Finishing 2-1 at Lake View for SCC were Tanner Fistler, Chase McAlister, Josh Van Hulzen, Tristan Patterson and Brian King while Jaydon Makinson was 1-2.
In the home meet against rivals GT/RA, Pocahontas Area and Southeast Valley Dec. 7, Khommanyvong and Goodman were 3-0 while McAlister, Fistler and Brian King were 2-1 for SCC.
