SCC seniors commit to Iowa collegiate track & fi eld programs

Going from the high school level to the ranks of collegiate athletics is an accomplishment for any senior.

When a senior knows that they are not alone in taking their talents to a college campus, it’s something special, even if they are going to different spaces of higher education.

That was what happened for South Central Calhoun senior track & field athletes Mason Merkley, Josh Van Hulzen and Spencer Moon, who officially inked with the University of Dubuque, Dordt College and Simpson College respectively on March 11 in the SCC High School Gymnasium in Lake City.

Joining in on the ceremony was their good friend and fellow classmate Chase McAlister, who committed to run for the Iowa State track & field team in December.
