SCC netters fall to East Sac County, 3-1

Hopes of winning the outright 2017 Twin Lakes Conference regular season championship for the South Central Calhoun varsity volleyball team were dashed in their final match of the regular season at Lake View Thursday, Oct. 5. Instead, the Titans will be co-conference champions with two other teams — East Sac County and Alta-Aurelia — as all three squads finished at 10-1 in league matches.

The East Sac County Raiders grabbed its share of the TLC league championship by defeating the Titans 3-1 by the scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-18 and 27-25 in Lake View. With the loss, SCC moved to 29-6 overall in 2017.

Hannah Seil and Emma McKinney led the Titans against East Sac County with 16 kills apiece. Seil also finished with 12 digs, four blocks, three ace serves and three assists while McKinney had six digs and a block.

Teylor Anderson had 40 assists against the Raiders to go with three kills and six digs. Collecting seven kills against the Raiders was Haley Stauter, who also had five digs and one block in the match.
