SCC girls track team ends season at 2A Regional meet

The season came to an end for the 2018 South Central Calhoun varsity girls track team Thursday, May 10 at the Class 2A State Qualifying Meet hosted by Manson Northwest Webster in Manson.
The Titans placed tenth overall with 35 points along with Ogden, who also scored 35 points. Meet champion was Alta-Aurelia with 121 while Emmetsburg was second with 111 and Southeast Valley took home third place with 90.
Top individual efforts for South Central Calhoun came in the shot put by Kim Daisy, who was fourth overall with a toss of 33-feet, 7.5-inches, and Kaylynn Ridgely in the high jump and long jump as Ridgely was fifth in the high jump, clearing 4-10, and sixth in the long jump, with a leap of 15-2.5.
