SCC girls now 12-0 overall

South Central Calhoun made it a 12-0 start to the 2017-18 girls varsity basketball season with its 59-22 victory over St. Mary’s in Storm Lake Friday, Jan. 5 as action for the season resumed following the holiday break. With the win, SCC improved to 4-0 in the Twin Lakes Conference.
The Titans defense held the Panthers to single digits in scoring all four quarters of the contest as SCC led 23-8 after the first quarter, 35-12 at the half and 47-16 after three quarters of play.
Maddie Jones had 21 points, six rebounds, five assists, five steals and a blocked shot to lead the way for SCC. Jones was 7-for-11 from the floor and 5-for-6 from the free throw line versus St. Mary’s.
