SCC drops match to Cougars at home

Rivals South Central Calhoun and Manson Northwest Webster squared off in a varsity volleyball showdown in Twin Lakes Conference play Thursday, Oct. 1, in Lake City and it was the visiting Cougars pulling away to a 3-1 victory.
South Central Calhoun (20-12) opened up the match with a 25-17 triumph in the first set. MNW rallied for wins of 25-17, 25-15 and 26-24 to take the match as the Titans celebrated homecoming activities and senior night.
SCC senior players Courtney Kilpatrick, Taylor Hepp, Jordan Hepp, Julia Seil and Shelby Kingery were recognized for their contributions to the Titan volleyball team as was senior manager Mallory Willett.
