South Central Calhoun moved to 2-0 on the season with its impressive and dominating 36-6 victory over Kuemper Catholic in Carroll Friday, Aug. 31.
The Titans scored three times with its defense including a safety, a fumble recovery for a score and a interception return for a score while also scoring a pair of rushing touchdowns against the Knights.
“I thought we took a step forward tonight,” said SCC head coach Bryan Case. “We still have a lot to clean up, but we definitely played better than last week. To go to Kuemper and get the win in that atmosphere, will give our team a boost and some much needed confidence. I’m proud of the way our kids played and responded in some adverse situations tonight. We’ll have to keep improving if we want to hang around with a very good IKM-Manning team next Friday night.”
