South Central Calhoun’s varsity baseball team went 1-2 last week against Twin Lakes Conference foes as the Titans are now 8-8 overall. SCC concluded the contest against Alta-Aurelia, which was originally started on June 11 but post-poned, and rescheduled for June 19 in Alta and lost it 3-2. SCC then defeated St. Mary’s of Storm Lake 14-4 in six innings Thursday, June 21 in Lytton, while dropping a 1-0 decision to Southeast Valley in Lytton Friday, June 22 to close out the week.
Alta-Aurelia 3, SCC 2
South Central Calhoun led the contest 2-1 in the top of the fourth when the game was suspended against Alta-Aurelia in Alta June 11, but the Warriors would take advantage of the long break and score a run in both the sixth and seventh innings to walk off with the conference victory.
