SCC baseball team finishes 8-3 in TLC standings

South Central Calhoun’s varsity baseball team concluded play in 2018 Twin Lakes Conference play Wednesday, June 28 in Lytton by winning a pair of previously post-poned contests as SCC topped West Bend-Mallard 3-0 to complete a previously suspended contest June 6, then defeated Newell-Fonda 7-0 in a previously postponed contest from June 20. With the two victories, SCC concluded the TLC at 8-3 in the final league standings. In non-conference play last week, SCC lost to IKM-Manning Thursday, June 28 in Lytton by a 9-4 final and then closed out the week with a 2-1 loss to East Sac County in Lytton June 29.
The Titans have a pair of contests to close out the regular season this week before post-season play begins this Saturday, July 7 in Lytton. SCC will be at Coon Rapids-Bayard Monday, July 2 and then will host Greene County Thursday, July 5 in Lytton for the regular season finale.
