SCC baseball squad falls to Ar-We-Va

In varsity non-conference baseball action for the South Central Calhoun Titans Tuesday, June 27, the Titans (10-11) fell to Ar-We-Va in Westside by a 11-1 final in six innings to move to 10-11 overall.
Ar-We-Va scored twice in the fourth, six times in the fifth and three more runs in the bottom of the sixth to end the game with one out in the sixth.
SCC got on the board in the top of the first inning. Chase McAlister walked for SCC and was driven in on a single by Kyler Steinborn to plate the lone run for the Titans.
Jared Birks had two hits, including a double, in the contest to lead SCC at the plate. Matt Toms and Andrew Westcott also had singles for the Titans at Westside. Zane Neubaum reached base twice with two walks.
