Roos retires from county post

The development of Featherstone Park is the proverbial feather in Keith Roos’ cap, his colleagues said at a retirement celebration last week.
For three decades, first as sanitarian, then working in zoning, conservation and weed commissioner roles, Roos has been a constant presence in Calhoun County. Last month, he retired, and on May 16, friends, co-workers and current and former members of the boards he has served gathered to acknowledge his work and accomplishments.
“The showpiece for the county is Featherstone and how that’s grown,” Calhoun County Conservation Board member Jerry Chizek said during the party. “Bringing the cabins has been a great addition for us.”
