Rec Center discussed at Rockwell City Revitalization Group meeting

Ongoing projects – including a survey for a potential Rec Center – were the focus for the Rockwell City Revitalization Group, as it held its latest monthly meeting last Wednesday evening at the Rockwell City Library and Community Center.
After noting its balance, the group quickly went into progress of ongoing projects. Due to the current winter conditions, the work needed to be done on Rainbow Bridge and signs can’t be done until the weather improves. Next was a discussion related to a location for a dog park, which was decided that the fenced in area could be placed next to the Calhoun County Museum.
The Revitalization Group also decided on placing a pair of sand volleyball courts on the south side of Kids Kingdom.
It will be addressed at the city council meeting on March 4. Revitalization funds will be used to create the sand courts.
