From Nov. 20 to Friday evening, the South Central Calhoun girls’ basketball team has proven why they were ranked seventh in Class 2A to begin the year.
The No. 7 Titans have beaten four opponents already by a combined margin of 266-145, averaging 66.5 points per game and holding teams to around 36. The season started off with a 67-37 beating of Storm Lake at home.
On Nov. 26 they’d host Audubon and win 74-33 and then travel to South Hamilton the next day and take a 53-25 victory. Friday the girls finished off their busy second week by outpacing East Sac County 72-50 in front of a home crowd.
“So far I’m pleased with how they’re playing,” coach Eric Francis said.
