The South Central Calhoun boys’ basketball team is rolling right now. In front or from behind, the No. 5-ranked (Class 2A) Titans have found ways to win – which is needed with the playoffs looming on the horizon.
The Titans continued their winning ways last week, outlasting East Sac County in a 68-60 nonconference matchup on Feb. 5 at ESC Elementary Gym in Sac City before bypassing Storm Lake via an 86-72 result last Friday night at the SCC Middle School Gym in Rockwell City.
In both games, SCC had to rally from an early deficit, before prevailing with strong second half performances.
The latter game was originally scheduled for last Thursday, but had to be pushed back a day due to wintry conditions that swept through the area.
Due to winning their last two contests of the 2018-19 regular season, the Titans improved to 20-1 overall.
