Mayor Donny Hobbs discussed the suit April 11 with City Council members, noting the attorney for Lessard had filed a response denying the claims March 22. Hobbs said the earliest available trial date will be in December, which leaves plenty of time for the city’s attorney to negotiate a settlement with the contractor.
The lawsuit, filed March 2, laid out the problems Lohrville residents have had with the septic systems Lessard installed. The ongoing problems with the systems constitutes a breach of contract, the lawsuit said.
