Lake City council continues exploration of sidewalk replacement project

The upcoming City Square/ Center Street replacement project and a presentation by Sunnyview Independent Living were the highlights of the Lake City Council’s latest meeting, held last Tuesday at the Council Chambers in City Hall.
Public Works Supervisor Jim Janssen was on hand to discuss the City Square Sidewalk/ Center St replacement project with the council.
According to Janssen, the main lines would not be tampered with and lighting would remain the same.
The council approved to continue to survey and explore financing options. The spring of 2020 is the tentative date for the project.
