Hometown Heroes Memorial Ride to roll through Calhoun County

By:

For a little more than half a decade, many motorcycle riders traverse northwestern Iowa to remember, celebrate and honor those who don the yellow coat of the firefighter and the blue uniform of the police officer.
The 6th Annual Hometown Heroes Memorial Ride will commemorate those who serve, beginning their ride in Rockwell City at 11 a.m. and capping their venture in Rockwell City at 7 p.m. on June 15.
The ride – created to honor the late Jamie Buenting, Nick Hildreth and Justin Martin – will begin at the Rockwell City Fire Station, head over to the Rolfe Fire Department for lunch, stop at Emmetsburg, Laurens and Knoke Fire Departments, before returning to the Rockwell City Community Building.
Once the ride has reached the end of its loop, there will be a live and silent auction.
