Hildreth kicks off school board write-in campaign

Ryan Hildreth, a 2001 graduate of Rockwell City/Lytton High School, considered running for the South Central Calhoun School District board earlier this year, but didn’t decide in time to get his name on the ballot.
After a bit more consideration – and the urging of outgoing board President Jim Brown – Hildreth decided to ask residents of the school’s northern district to write his name in on the ballot next week. He issued an announcement on Facebook to kick off his campaign.
His goal, he said, is “to be involved in my children’s education. This gives me an extra opportunity to see what goes on at a higher level. We all have a vested interest in education.”
