Construction begins on Lake City Pool Project

Progress on the Lake City Pool Project took a leap forward this week as construction began at the pool site. Crews took advantage of the near perfect weather and began demolition on Sunday, Sept. 7. The pool contract was awarded to Sande Construction of Humboldt, with B&S Tiling and Excavation of Lake City completing the demolition as a local subcontractor.

The Fundraising Committee continues to steadily make progress towards raising the remaining funds necessary to complete the project. With $17,173 in new funding committed since establishing the fi nal goal with the City Council on August 11, the current remaining goal is $102,827.
