Accura Health Care of Pomeroy recently achieved the first of three National Quality Award levels.
The National Quality Award Program’s Bronze Award is the first of three levels of recognition care facilities can receive for improving the level of care their staff provides to residents. The award levels are successive – a care facility must first earn Bronze before working toward Silver. Following the Silver award, facilities can then work toward the Gold award.
Accura Healthcare of Pomeroy Executive Director Jennifer Blair said only one Iowa care facility has achieved the Gold Award since the program began. The awards are based on quality metrics known as the Baldridge Health Care Criteria. The Bronze Award is given in recognition of a facility’s commitment to quality.
